One-Line Bio

I am a tenor lay vicar choral in an Anglican cathedral choir.

Biography

Richard began singing as a treble aged 9 in the local parish church choir, and quickly developed a love of singing that has stayed with him into adulthood. Over the years, he has been an active member of various sacred and secular choirs, and has also done a small amount of solo work.

In his youth, Richard attended over a dozen different residential cathedral courses run by the Royal School of Church Music, and is also a former member of the Northern Cathedral Singers. He has sung in many different English cathedrals including: York, Durham, Liverpool Anglican, Manchester, Lincoln, Carlisle, Chester, Ripon, Wakefield, Exeter, Ely, Edinburgh, and Canterbury. He has toured abroad to Denmark and France, has sung numerous times on BBC Radio and Television broadcasts, and has also been involved in several commercial CD recordings.

In April 2007, Richard took up an appointment to sing in an Anglican cathedral choir.
